St. Paul's Institute is a co-educational institution established in 1986 with a view to promote and uplift the living conditions of the people of tribal area in Manipur by providing proper and quality education to the younger generations irrespective of caste, creed or religion. It is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi from 2006. Prior to its affiliation to CBSE, the Institute was recognised by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur


St. Paul’s Institute endeavours to provide holistic education with an aim to develop the whole personality of the child, physically, intellectually, morally and spiritually. The Institute emphasizes a good knowledge of English, Mathematics, Sciences and Social Sciences. It provides teachings in Sciences, Mathematics and Social Sciences with Students’ Activity Assessments from classes VI to X, together with teaching of theory in each subjects so that the students could have a clear understanding of the subjects taught. The Institute also conducts literary competitions like debate, speech, group discussion, quiz, music, singing etc. on every Friday of the week throughout the year to impart holistic education to the students. Moreover, it has an Annual Assessment Week where students compete in various arts and sports over a period of one week.


From 2011, St. Paul’s Institute is given the status of a senior secondary school as it is upgraded by CBSE to run classes till Class XII. The first batch of Class XI starts from 2011. Classes are run in two adjoining blocks, each block on the other side of a road. Lower classes (Nursery to Class III) hold their classes on the new block (Kids’ World) whereas higher classes (Classes IV to XII) conduct classes on the old block (Main Building). The administrative office as well as College of Ascension are also located in the East Block.


The Institute does not receive any financial aid, either from domestic or foreign sources. It is run solely with the school fees.
